New Delhi, Jan. 13 -- Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said the government has taken responsibility for ensuring the safety of both humans and animals through the One Health Mission, adding that India's scientists will no longer have to depend on foreign countries for research on dangerous viruses as the nation moves toward self-reliance in the field of biotechnology research.
The Home Minister said that the biotechnology sector has witnessed a 17-fold growth over the past decade, demonstrating the potential of the country's youth and industry when supported by strong government backing and robust infrastructure.
