Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 1 -- In a breakthrough that could reshape global healthcare diagnostics, Kerala-based deep-tech startup Accubits Invent Pvt Ltd has secured a patent for a first-of-its-kind breath-based VOC sensing device that can detect cancer, tuberculosis and metabolic disorders in under 90 seconds.

The innovation positions India at the forefront of next-generation, non-invasive diagnostic technology.

The patented device, VolTrac, works by analysing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released through human breath and sweat. Since each disease creates a unique VOC signature, the technology identifies these molecular patterns with a lab-verified accuracy of 98.5 per cent.
