Chandigarh, Jan. 13 -- The return of Sarabjit Kaur, a resident of Punjab's Kapurthala district, who travelled to Pakistan with an SGPC pilgrimage group, has been put on hold after Pakistani authorities initiated steps to extend her visa instead of repatriating her to India.

Officials in Pakistan have indicated that the decision follows approvals granted at the interior ministry level, allowing her to remain in the country while legal proceedings continue in a local court. The case is currently under consideration in Lahore, which has effectively paused any immediate move for her return.
