India rejects OIC statement for refusing to recognise facts of Pahalgam attack, its cross-border linkages

New Delhi, May 6 -- India today rejected the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) statement calling for de-escalation of tensions in South Asia, and termed it as yet another attempt by Pakistan "to manipulate and misguide the OIC Group to issue a self-serving statement".

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, in a statement, also said the OIC failed to recognise the facts of the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were gunned down.

"The OIC statement, issued at the behest of Pakistan, is absurd in refusing to recognise the facts of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and its cross-border linkages.
