New Delhi, Nov. 29 -- India has been re-elected to the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), London, comprising 10 countries with the largest interest in international seaborne trade, securing 154 out of 169 valid votes in the elections on Friday at the 34th Session of the IMO Assembly.

Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal described it a ''proud moment'' for India's maritime sector. "A proud moment for India's maritime sector!
