Bengaluru, Dec. 26 -- union Minister and former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Friday said that India is progressing rapidly under the BJP, while Karnataka is heading towards decline under the Congress government.
Speaking at the Atal Award distribution and Good Governance Day programme organised to mark former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's 101st birth anniversary, Kumaraswamy said India is on course to become the world's third-largest economy due to decisive leadership at the Centre.
He criticised the Congress-led government in Karnataka, alleging that the state, which was once considered a model for governance and development, is now witnessing administrative deterioration across sectors.
