Shimla, May 10 -- As tensions escalate along the India-Pakistan border, Himachal Pradesh is taking proactive steps to ensure public safety.

Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Managing Director Dr. Nipun Jindal confirmed a noticeable decline in passenger numbers on the Jammu-Pathankot-Amritsar route.

"The situation is being closely monitored, especially for night operations on the Amritsar-Jammu-Katra and Pathankot routes. Services will be adjusted in public interest," he said, urging travelers to stay informed and plan accordingly.
