New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday expressed confidence that as the country moves towards 2029, and the Semicon 2.0 (second phase of country's semiconductor mission to expand chip making) matures, India will become a major player in the semiconductor industry.
The minister shared that the country has mapped out the path from going to 28 nanometer to 7 nanometer, 7 to 3 nanometer, adding that the country has studied as to how Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and other nations have taken forward this journey regarding chip building, and after studying all of this, also based on the talent India has, the nation has chalked out a path towards 2 nano meters.
