New Delhi, Dec. 18 -- India and Oman on Thursday signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), marking a major step toward strengthening bilateral economic relations and deepening India's engagement with the Gulf region.

The agreement was signed by union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef.
