India now top smartphone supplier to US: Vaishnaw
Bengaluru, Aug. 10 -- India has firmly established itself as a global powerhouse in smartphone manufacturing, emerging as the world's second-largest producer of mobile phones, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said today.
Speaking at the inauguration of Metro's Yellow Line and flagging off three Vande Bharat trains, Vaishnaw attributed the transformation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership and policies that have radically boosted the country's electronics sector over the past 11 years.
