New Delhi, March 11 -- union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, on Wednesday stressed the need for the country's textile sector to expand its global presence and move towards higher-scale and higher-value manufacturing to achieve the government's target of building a USD 350 billion textile economy and USD 100 billion in exports by 2030-31.

Speaking at an interaction organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with senior officials from the Ministry of Textiles and industry leaders across the textile value chain, Singh outlined the long-term vision for the sector.
