Thiruvananthapuram, March 11 -- India has established itself as a vaccine superpower when it developed Covaxin and the country now produces 60 per cent of the world's vaccine, according to Prof Balram Bhargava, former Director General of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)- the frontal agency which tackled Covid 19 pandemic in India.

The Padma Shri winner was delivering a keynote address here at BRIC-Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) on Tuesday on the theme 'Accelerate Action' as part of RGCB's Women's Day celebration.
