New Delhi, Jan. 4 -- India on Sunday expressed "deep concern" over the recent developments in Venezuela and announced that it is closely monitoring the evolving security situation in the South American nation.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the government reaffirmed its commitment to the well-being and safety of the people of Venezuela and urged all parties to resolve the crisis peacefully through dialogue, maintaining regional peace and stability.
The statement also assured that the Embassy of India in Caracas remains in contact with the Indian community and will continue to provide all necessary assistance during this turbulent period.
