New Delhi, Dec. 22 -- : India has significantly strengthened the Indian Army's logistical and operational preparedness in the high-altitude Ladakh sector with the commissioning of a bulk petroleum storage facility by Indian Oil Corporation in collaboration with the Army.
Engineered to function in extreme weather and terrain, the facility will ensure assured fuel availability for Advanced Winter Stocking operations in forward areas, enhancing troop mobility, endurance and combat readiness while also bolstering energy security for civilian requirements during the harsh winter months.
