Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 26 -- India Women backed up their disciplined bowling effort with sharp field placements and timely breakthroughs to restrict Sri Lanka Women to 112 for seven in 20 overs in the third T20 International of the Sri Lanka Women's tour of India 2025 at the Greenfield International Stadium here on Friday.
After winning the toss and opting to bowl, India struck early through Renuka Singh Thakur, who removed both Sri Lankan openers inside the powerplay.
Hasini Perera, who looked fluent with five boundaries in her 25 off 18 balls, edged a fuller delivery to Deepti Sharma at short third, while Harshitha Samarawickrama fell to a sharp caught-and-bowled chance, leaving Sri Lanka wobbling despite a positive start.
