Agartala, May 15 -- The process of pushing back illegal Bangladeshi nationals detained from different parts of the country during the nationwide crackdown against illegal immigrants following the Pahalgam terror attack has begun, with the illegal Bangladeshi migrants being sent back through the Tripura border, police sources said here on Thursday.

According to the sources, special Indian Air Force aircraft have been bringing the illegal Bangladeshi migrants to Tripura from different states over the last three days. They are being pushed back in a phased manner.

The repatriation process is expected to be completed by this week, the sources said.
