New Delhi, Oct. 3 -- India has been conferred the International Social Security Association (ISSA) Award 2025 for Outstanding Achievement in Social Security, in recognition of its significant strides in expanding and modernising social protection coverage over the past decade.
According to a government statement here today, the award was presented during the World Social Security Forum (WSSF) 2025 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
India is only the fifth country to receive the ISSA Award since its inception.
