India advancing towards greater equality: PM Modi at Rozgar Mela
New Delhi, July 12 -- India is now being counted among the countries with the highest levels of equality, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, citing a recent World Bank report which had said that India has emerged as the fourth most equal country in the world.
He attributed this progress to the wide-reaching impact of welfare schemes and sustained employment generation over the past decade.
The Prime Minister was addressing the nation virtually at the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela, where over 51,000 appointment letters were handed out to newly appointed personnel in various Central government departments.
