Margao, Oct. 14 -- India and Singapore were locked at 1-1 at halftime in their crucial AFC Asian Cup qualifying clash here today, after Singapore struck a late equaliser to cancel out Lallianzuala Chhangte's opener.

India dominated possession and created multiple scoring opportunities throughout the first half but were caught out by a defensive lapse in the 44th minute, allowing Song Uiyoung to level the score for Singapore.

Chhangte had given India an early lead in the 14th minute with a stunning strike from the edge of the box.
