Srinagar, May 7 -- India and Pakistan exchanged heavy artillery fire along the LoC in Kashmir post-midnight, after India launched precision strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Within hours after Islamabad acknowledged that Indian missile strikes had hit three places in its territory, the firing began across the Line of Control.
Earlier, just post midnight, India launched Operation Sindoor.
The Defence Ministry in a statement said that the Indian Armed Forces launched 'Operation Sindoor', hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.
Altogether, nine sites have been targeted.
