New Delhi, Nov. 28 -- In a significant boost to defence cooperation, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Friday signed Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) with the Government of the United States for five-year sustainment support of the Indian Navy's MH-60R helicopter fleet, in a deal valued at approximately Rs 7,995 crore.
The LOAs were inked under the US Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programme, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh in the national capital. The deal aims to provide comprehensive support, including spares, technical assistance, training, and periodic maintenance facilities in India.
