New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- India and the European union have successfully concluded negotiations for an ambitious Free Trade Agreement, with the deal set to be formally announced tomorrow, Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said on Monday.
"Official-level negotiations are being concluded and both sides are all set to announce the successful conclusion of FTA talks on 27th January, Tuesday," he said.
He termed the deal as "balanced and forward-looking", noting that it would undergo a 5-6 month legal review before formal signing, and is expected to take effect in 2027.
