Addis Ababa/New Delhi, Dec. 17 -- India and Ethiopia on Tuesday elevated their ties to Strategic Partnership as Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his first ever visit to the east African nation. PM Modi was also conferred the nation's highest honour by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.
On arrival, Prime Minister Modi was received at Bole International Airport by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who accompanied him to the hotel and drove him personally to the Science Museum and then to Friendship Park and Friendship Square in Addis Ababa.
Ahead of the talks at the National Palace, PM Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome.
