New Delhi, March 25 -- India and China held border talks in Beijing today, during which peace and tranquility on the border was stressed. Both sides also exchanged views on early resumption of cross-border cooperation and exchanges, including trans-border rivers and the Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra.

This was discussed during the 33rd meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation & Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) held today in Beijing.

The Indian delegation was led by Gourangalal Das, Joint Secretary (East Asia), and the Chinese delegation was led by Hong Liang, Director General of the Boundary & Oceanic Affairs Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a statement said.
