Buenos Aires, Oct. 25 -- Independiente secured its first win of the Clausura campaign with a 3-0 home victory over Platense in Argentina's Primera Division.
Yesterday, Gabriel Avalos put the hosts ahead by prodding the ball into the back of the net after a scramble inside the six-yard box.
Independiente doubled its lead when Felipe Loyola combined with Santiago Montiel before sending a looping header past goalkeeper Federico Losas.
