Bengaluru, Aug. 15 -- Using his Independence Day address to frame an ideological battle, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said the state's policies are rooted in the constitutional principle of Samvidhanvad - the duty to give priority to the weakest and most vulnerable - in direct opposition to the Manuvad ideology, which, he claimed, promotes the idea that only the powerful should thrive while others remain subordinates.
