Pune, Nov. 18 -- Taking serious note of leopard attacks in various Maharashtra districts over the past month, Hemant Patil, National President of India Against Corruption, on Tuesday demanded that state Forest Minister Ganesh Naik issue directives for immediate and effective measures.

As a result of the attacks, fear has gripped rural and semi-urban areas including Pune and Kolhapur districts.

Citizens in regions such as Pimparkhed, Jambut, Takli Haji and Inamgaon are terrified due to leopard attacks. In Junnar taluka of Pune district, three people have died in leopard attacks, and several incidents of leopards entering human settlements have been recorded.
