Lucknow/Ballia, Feb. 26 -- The Income Tax Department's raid at the Lucknow residence of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Umashankar Singh has concluded, but search operations continued overnight at his Ballia residence and his office in Lucknow along with his other establishments in Kaushambi Sonbhadra, officials said on Thursday.
According to sources, more than Rs 10 crore in cash was recovered during the exercise.
Authorities also seized important documents and electronic devices linked to Singh's company. However, the Income Tax Department has not yet issued any official statement regarding the action or its findings.
