Hyderabad, Nov. 13 -- The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) on Thursday organised a curtain-raiser event ahead of the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2025, scheduled to be held in Chandigarh from December 6 to 9.
The event highlighted the growing importance of ocean science and technological innovation in tackling climate change, improving coastal preparedness, and driving India's expanding Blue Economy.
In his chief guest address Prof Yuichiro Tanioka, Chair of the Joint Tsunami Commission and Emeritus Professor at Hokkaido University, praised India's rapid strides in scientific capability.
