Vijayawada, Oct. 23 -- Incessant rains, under the influenceof low pressure, wreaked havoc in five districts today in Andhra Pradesh as Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the situation with the district Collectors.

Heavy rains occurred in Krishna, Prakasam, Kadapa, Nelloreand Tirupati districts throwing normal life out of gear and causing heavy loss to crops. Educational institutions declared holiday in the affected districts today in view of heavy rains.

The downpour occurred in the combined Krishna district, including in Vijayawada, Machilipatnam and Avanigadda.
