Bolpur, April 23 -- After a lot of humiliation and harassment, the grandson, Suprabuddha Sen (88) and daughter-in-law, Deepa Sen (82) of the famous painter Nanda Lal Bose, finally managed to cast their precious votes, courtesy the intervention of the district CPM secretary and District Magistrate of Birbhum, Dhabal Jain.

The names of the grandson and daughter-in-law of Nanda Lal Bose, who has illustrated the Constitution of India, were earlier sent to the adjudication list after the SIR process. This news had led to a nationwide protest and the Supreme Court had to intervene and directed the Calcutta High Court to include their names. Finally at the last moment the Tribunal cleared their names out of the total 139 names cleared.
