Patna, May 20 -- Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah declare martyr status to the paramilitary forces who die in battle, in order to maintain parity with the army, with regard to government jobs, pension and other facilities to their families.

In a letter to the Union Home Minister, which he shared on his social media account X on Tuesday, he demanded the granting of martyr status to the brave soldiers of the paramilitary forces who sacrifice their all for the protection of the motherland and the unity and integrity of the country.
