Buenos Aires, Feb. 25 -- Barracas Central continued their impressive start to Argentina's Primera Division Apertura season with a 2-0 home victory over Newell's Old Boys.

Jhonatan Candia gave the hosts the lead in the second minute on Monday when he combined with Siro Rosane before slotting a low shot past Keylor Navas.

Manuel Duarte doubled the advantage in the 91st minute with a long-range drive on the counterattack that left Marcos Ledesma with no chance.

The result leaves Barracas seventh in the 15-team Group A standings with 12 points from seven outings. Newell's has just one win so far this campaign.
