Islamabad, June 12 -- Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan expressed hope for the early release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi in the 190 million pounds case, which was cancelled after a judge went on leave.
Justice Mohammad Arif, a member of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) division bench, went on leave, due to which the case was dropped from the cause list.
Senior PTI members went to IHC, met officials in the chief justice's secretariat to ask for rescheduling for hearing. The court fixed June 26 for hearing the plea, seeking suspension of sentence, Dawn reported.
