Hyderabad, Feb. 21 -- The BC Rights Movement on Saturday demanded that all assurances made to Backward Classes (BCs) in the Kamareddy Declaration be implemented without delay.
Addressing the media at Raja Bahadur Goud Hall, the State office of the BC Rights Movement here, Telangana State General Secretary Dhulipala Dhananjaya Naidu said the government should allocate Rs 55,000 crore in the current budget exclusively for BC welfare to honour the promises made during the elections.
He said the government had assured overseas scholarships for BC students to pursue higher education abroad and the establishment of BC Bazaars with 50 shopping malls in every mandal centre, including free allotment of shops for handicrafts.
