Bhubaneswar, May 29 -- Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA), one of the country's foremost fully integrated producers of ferro alloys, has entered into a landmark 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with AMPIN Energy Utility One Private Limited.
Under the agreement, IMFA will procure 40 MW of contracted demand through a hybrid renewable energy setup consisting of 58 MW AC each of solar and wind capacity.
The long-term arrangement aims to substantially cut IMFA's carbon footprint, stabilise its energy costs over the coming decades, and strengthen the company's commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles.
