Ranchi, Sept. 30 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi, has warned of heavy rainfall in several districts of Jharkhand during the Dussehra festivities.
A yellow alert has been issued for multiple districts, with weather conditions expected to deteriorate from October one.
According to IMD scientist Satish Chandra Mandal, a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over the north Andaman Sea today.
Its impact could lead to the formation of a low-pressure area over the central Bay of Bengal on October 1, which may intensify into a depression by October 2.
The system is expected to move northwestwards and cross the south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coast by the morning of October 3.
