Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over several districts of Odisha between September 8 and 13.
According to the IMD, the current meteorological conditions include an upper-air cyclonic circulation over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, off the south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coasts, between 1.5 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level, tilting southwards with height.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through the center of a deep depression over southeast Pakistan and adjoining areas of Rajasthan and Kutch, then extends across Kota, Orai, Siddhi, Ranchi, Digha, and further...
