Ch. Sambhajinagar, Sept. 17 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for all eight districts of the Marathwada region effective from today. The alert covers Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), Jalna, Beed, Parbhani, Nanded, Latur, Dharashiv (formerly Osmanabad), and Hingoli districts.
According to official forecasts, these areas are likely to experience heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 km per hour at isolated places.
In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected with the possibility of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. Temperatures are likely to remain between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius.
