Bengaluru, Aug. 18 -- With a depression forming over the Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rainfall warnings across Karnataka, with red alerts for five districts over the next five days. The districts under red alert include Udupi, Dakshina Kannada (DK), Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, and Uttara Kannada. Belagavi and Haveri are under orange alert, while Ballari, Bengaluru Urban, and Bengaluru Rural are expected to face strong winds along with moderate to continuous rainfall.
