Bengaluru, Dec. 15 -- At a time when algorithms are composing melodies and trends change overnight, Ilaiyaraaja remains firmly anchored to a belief that has defined his five-decade journey in cinema - that music is born from within and cannot be manufactured by machines.

Answering to an UNI question, ahead of the Music for Meals charity concert held by Akshaya Patra Foundation, the legendary composer spoke candidly about artificial intelligence and creativity, dismissing fears that technology could replace human expression.
