IITM incubated Start-up gets ARAI certification for Heavy EV Fast Charger

Chennai, April 11 -- The IIT Madras-incubated start-up Plugzmart has become the First Start-up in India to get ARAI Certification for its Electric Vehicle Charger for Heavy vehicles with its own controller and PLC modules developed indigenously.

The entire Hardware and Software of this 240kW DC fast charger was developed in-house, reducing reliance on imported components and promoting 'Make in India' for the EV Sector, a release from the IIT-Madras said on Friday.

It can charge high-end cars and heavy vehicles in just 20 minutes.
