Roorkee, March 17 -- The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) on Tuesday inaugurated the Ashok Soota Molecular Medicine Facility at its Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE), a move aimed at strengthening advanced biomedical research infrastructure in India.

The facility was inaugurated by Ashok Soota, distinguished alumnus of IIT Roorkee, in the presence of Prof KK Pant, Director, IIT Roorkee, along with faculty, researchers and industry representatives.

Designed as a state-of-the-art integrated platform, the facility will support drug discovery, biomolecular research and the development of next-generation diagnostic tools, enabling translation of basic research into practical healthcare solutions.
