IIT-Madras deepens collaboration with Applied Materials to accelerate Semiconductor Innovation

Chennai, Oct. 23 -- The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M) today announced that it has expanded its strategic collaboration with Applied Materials India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Applied Materials, Inc., to advance cutting-edge semiconductor research and workforce development.

As part of this collaboration, IIT-M will deploy the foundational software framework of Applied Materials' AppliedTwin platform--a sophisticated digital twin solution designed to model and optimise semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes.

To initiate the deployment, a hands-on workshop on AppliedTwin was conducted at the IIT-M campus today that saw participationfrom more than 150 students and faculty members.
