Kharagpur, May 26 -- Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Germany's premier technical university, Technische Universitat Darmstadt, to foster collaboration in academic, research and innovation initiatives, the IIT announced on Monday.
The pact signed on Saturday follows the visit of a seven-member delegation from the Technische Universitat Darmstadt to IIT Kharagpur on March 20, the media release said.
The IIT Kharagpur delegation, led by its Deputy Director Rintu Banerjee, held detailed discussions with Thomas Walther, Vice-President for Innovation and International Affairs, and his team from Technische Universitat Darmstadt.
