Varanasi, Dec. 6 -- The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has set a new record in the first phase of placements for the academic session 2025-26.
In just five days, the institute received over 1005 job offers. Notably, last year this figure was crossed on the 12th day.
This performance, despite the global recession and intense competition, underscores the strong confidence of the industry in the institute.
This year's highest package was Rs 1.67 crore per annum, while the average package was recorded at Rs 29.23 lakh per annum. On the very first day, 17 students received packages exceeding Rs 1 crore. Companies in the Quant, Fintech, and Deep-Tech sectors showed particular interest in the students.
