Varanasi, Jan. 13 -- In a significant step towards empowering agricultural innovation and rural development, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU) and the Foundation for Advancement of Agriculture and Rural Development (FAARD Foundation).
The MoU was signed on Tuesday by Prof. Punjab Singh, Chairman of the FAARD Foundation, and Prof. Amit Patra, Director of IIT (BHU). This agreement will be effective for the next five years.
The MoU's objective is to benefit farmers, rural youth, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) by integrating cutting-edge research, digital technology, and on-the-ground implementation.
