Dhanbad, Dec. 9 -- IIT (ISM) Dhanbad celebrated its landmark 100th Foundation Day on Tuesday, concluding the weeklong centenary foundation celebrations that showcased the institute's rich legacy in engineering, earth sciences, energy research, and technological innovation.
The valedictory ceremony at Penman Auditorium featured Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani as the chief guest.
Adani highlighted India's path towards energy security, resource mastery, and economic self-reliance, calling this era the nation's "second freedom struggle." He stressed that true sovereignty lies in control over natural resources and domestic energy systems, urging students to dream boldly and lead India's development narrative.
