Kolkata, July 12 -- An IIM (Kolkata) second year student was arrested on charges of raping a girl inside the institution's complex in south Kolkata, official sources said today.
The student, identified as Paramanand Toppawakar, a resident of Karnataka, was arrested after the Kolkata Police swung into action following an FIR lodged by the victim at Haridevpur police station last evening.
It was alleged that the girl was called by the student with an assurance for her counselling inside the complex last evening and given some food and soft drinks.
