New Delhi, Jan. 8 -- With India undergoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in phases, the India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM 2026) is preparing to hold a three-day seminar starting January 21 at Bharat Mandapam.
When asked if conducting SIR will also be discussed, Rakesh Verma, Director General, IICDEM, said, "The idea is to look at all best practices across the globe. There will be election management bodies, experts will be making presentations and some of the chief electoral officers (CEOs) will also share their experiences which will contribute to the overall formulation of standard best practices but it does not have to be in one step, its an evolution process and this is just the beginning.""...
